Creative Activities – Biodegradable Beeswax Food Wrap Workshop
We create unique natural body balms made by beeswax.
The workshop includes
- Beekeeper's whole-body protective suits for kids and adults
- Walk to the nearby apiary with beehives
- Open hives to observe working bees, drones and the queen bee
- Observation of honeycomb, other bees' products and organization of beehives.
- Brief interactive lecture about the life of bees, bee products, their value for the ecosystem and the threats they face
- Getting to know all products produced by honeybees (honey, honeycomb, pollen, royal jelly, wax, propolis, bee venom)
- Demonstration of the beeswax extraction process in the laboratory
- Tasting of various types of Cyprus honey “Βάβλα” (“Vavla”)
- Tasting of pollen
- Natural Beeswax Cosmetics trial
- Guided tour in the honey extraction and bottling laboratory

KEY INFORMATION
Water and herbal tea with honey is courteously offered to all participants. Through these activities, participants could enhance their creativity, improve communication and other social skills.
